Frecciarossa trains

Italy's fastest and most luxurious trains are the Frecciarossa (or 'Red Arrow'). The ETR500 trainsets - beautiful in design - reach speeds of up to 360 km/h. A journey on such a train between Rome and Milan takes 3 hours 25 minutes.

Frecciarossa coaches are very well soundproofed and equipped with air conditioning. They have high-quality seats similar to those fitted in aircraft. Passengers have power sockets and wireless Internet access at their disposal (it is possible to connect a laptop). Each first-class traveller receives a special drink and the morning press upon boarding. On board the train, there are screens indicating the current speed and the next station. Separate toilets are available for women and men! On the train, passengers can also use special business rooms and dining cars. There are also separate spaces for luggage in the vestibules of the carriages. Throughout the journey, the cleanliness of the train is taken care of by a special cleaning crew. The Frecciarossa consists of four 1st class and six 2nd class carriages. The high-speed train in Italy connects cities such as Naples, Rome, Florence, Milan, Turin, Bologna and Salerno.
